Registration procedures for foreign book publishing contracts

The book publishing unit shall register the contract within 7 days from the date of signature of the contract.

(1) Documents required to be submitted by book publishing units

1. Publishers and original authors of foreign works 1 original book publishing contract signed by the copyright owner, 2 copies and 1 Chinese text;

2. The publishing house signs a book publishing contract with an intermediary agency In addition to submitting the above-mentioned contract, you must also submit 1 original and a copy of the authorization letter from the original copyright holder of the foreign work;

3. 1 contract registration form (Stamped with the official seal of the unit).

(2) The Provincial Copyright Bureau will process the registration within 7 working days from the date of receipt of the registration application, and stamp the "Copyright Contract Registration Seal" on the contract. The contract registration number is the following: (region number) - year - (sequence number).

(3) The book publishing unit can go to the designated foreign exchange bank to handle the foreign exchange sales and payment procedures with the publishing contract stamped with the "Copyright Contract Registration Seal", and print it on the book. Indicate the contract registration number awarded by the Provincial Copyright Bureau; after the book is published, the book publishing unit must submit a sample to the Provincial Copyright Bureau.

(4) Contract registration for publishing works from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao in book form shall be handled in accordance with the above regulations.
